lot of petals in three sizes: Large, Medium and Small. Pay close
attention to what stitches you need to make when and where. All bottom corners of the petals
are made by three stitches (hdc, dc, hdc) in the same stitch. Each petal has a picot tip and has
5 or 6 base loops for attaching it to the cap. Make sure you crochet fairly tight so the leaves are
firm and keep their shape.


How to make a picot stitch
Make a chain of 3. Skip 2 loops and make a slipstitch in the 3rd loop. This is your picot.
Continue to crochet as normal.
